I thought the pre-writing activity was helpful when writing my paper. During this activity, I was able to collect my thoughts. I organized my claims and sources and determined whether they related back to my main argument. I saw which claims had two sources of evidence and which ones needed more evidence. I included how I was planning on using each source to make sure I included a variety of different methods to integrate my sources, such as summarizing, paraphrasing, and quoting.

I started revising my paper by making global revisions first. I added more sources as evidence to support my claims. Also, I deleted sentences that were unnecessary and took up space. I also added to my analysis for the majority of my sources from my first draft. In addition, I tried to strengthen my claims. After these global revisions were made, I focused on the local revisions. These local revisions focused on the variety of sentence structures, commas, unnecessary working, and MLA formatting. I made about half of my revisions from my first draft before my one on one conference. I found the one-on-one conference useful. I got personalized feedback and could discuss different possibilities. Five additional minutes could have been beneficial since I did not get to go through my entire paper.  This revision process was effective and helped me present my main argument.
