During my revision process, I am working on trying to eliminate empty words in order to create more active words. I found myself repetitively starting sentences with “the,” “there is,” and “there was.” I want to avoid saying “I think,” “I believe,” and “in my opinion.” I, also, want to make sure I include a variety of sentence structures such as compound sentences or compound-complex sentences. I need to verify which sources have fixed pages numbers and make sure they are included in the in-text citations.
