The process of planning and creating the iMovie was time-consuming. I started making my script on Friday and spent about an hour on it. Then on Saturday, I recorded my script which took about 45 minutes. It took me longer than I expected because, at first, I did not know how to get it to record. On Sunday, I spent about an hour and a half uploading pictures, adding sound effects, adding transitions, and siting my sources. It also took me about 30 minutes to figure out how to upload my iMovie onto Google Drive. I liked the format of iMovie; however, I had to figure out how to work some of the features. It would definitely be easier if done a second time. One thing a had a hard time with was preventing some of the pictures from getting blurry.
Really good job with the iMovie. I liked the music and the pictures you added to the movie it made it flow better. You did a good job covering your whole narrative story. For next time it might make it stronger if you don’t read your essay directly and add or leave out certain details.
I enjoyed hearing your story through a video and found it interesting how you connected Mr. Rocco and Carole Dweck in a way that they both promoted the process rather than the grade. I think you had a good way of engaging the listener in all ways with the background music at points, images, and the vivid detail you included within the video. Many points kept me engaged and interested in hearing more about your story as well as your growth through Mr. Rocco. I think you did a great job with this video and fully engaged listeners.
Hi, Elise,
I liked your use of music and images, just as your peers did. I also liked the pacing; you spoke deliberately and at a steady pace. As Brianna points out, you did a good job of connecting your experience with Dweck’s mindset concepts. Although you spent more time than I anticipated, as you noted, the next time will likely be easier since you will have a base of understanding about the software and the process of sharing. Nice job!
